The Farm

Hilhof dairy farm was first established in 1962 by William and Nelly Straathof. As immigrants from the Netherlands, they had high hopes for their little farm. By the late 1970's, William, Nelly, and their eight children had a highly productive farm that won herdsman awards for their outstanding breeding.
In 1982, the farm was passed down to us, William Jr. and wife Connie. We continue the farming tradition today with our three children. Currently, Hilhof Dairy is has 48 cows that are milked twice a day. The farm has been Certified Organic since 2004. After years of planning and preparation, we opened an organic milk bottling business in December 2009.
